Results of the English Civil War
There were many turnouts that happened from the English Civil War. King Charles 1 was arrested and would face trial for treason against his country. Parliament would be left in the hands of the Presbyterians and Puritans, which doesn't turn out well. The Puritans drive the Presbyterians out in Pride's Purge and control Parliament. After King Charles 1 was killed England became a republic (a country without a monarchy) and is known as Commonwealth. It allowed the Round head army free reign over England and to turn around a attack the Scottish and Irish. With the Puritans being in power they made the main religion Puritanism of England and inflicted harsh Puritans laws over England. When King Charles the 1st lost the English Civil War, he left the people of England, Scotland and Ireland to the wicked hands of the Puritans.
